Why country-specific information matters

Every country works differently

What you earn, how you're protected, when you're paid, and how your data is stored all depend on where you are. The country pages make that transparent.

Employment law differs everywhere

At-will employment in most US states. Seven-month notice periods in Germany after long tenure. Mandatory 13th salary in Brazil and Argentina. Profit-sharing obligations in Mexico. Every country page breaks down the specific employment framework — what your rights are, what statutory protections you receive, and how termination works.

Tax structures vary dramatically

Zero income tax in the UAE. Up to 57% marginal rates in Sweden. Complex multi-layer tax in Brazil (IRRF, INSS, ISS). State-level variations across India. For EOR employees, the platform handles withholding automatically — but understanding the tax environment helps you evaluate what a gross salary means in take-home terms.

Payment rails are local

ACH in the US, SEPA in Europe, PIX in Brazil, M-Pesa in East Africa, UPI in India, GCash in the Philippines. The best payment rail depends on where you are and what financial infrastructure you use. Each country page shows which rails are available and which is typically fastest.

Data protection is regional

GDPR in Europe, LGPD in Brazil, POPIA in South Africa, PDPA in Singapore, DPDPA in India. Your personal data — identity documents, verification records, profile information — is stored in the regional database matching your location. Each country page explains the data protection framework that applies to you.

Questions, answered

Country coverage questions

What does 'coverage' mean in a specific country?+

It means the platform has employment infrastructure, payment rails, compliance rules, and verification capability to support work engagements there. For EOR engagements, it means Corpshore (or a vetted partner) can act as the legal employer. For contractor engagements, it means classification compliance and contract generation are available for that jurisdiction.

My country isn't on the list. Can I still use Corpshore Work?+

This page shows the countries where we're most actively operating. Our coverage runs to 170+ countries. Create a profile and set your location — there's a very good chance we already cover your country. If we don't have direct infrastructure there yet, the EOR partner network likely covers the gap.

Do I need to be a citizen of a country to work there through Corpshore?+

No. The platform handles work authorisation as part of the compliance check. If you have the right to work in a country (citizenship, residence permit, work visa), the platform factors that in. If you don't, EOR can sometimes provide the legal structure — but immigration law varies by jurisdiction and not every situation can be accommodated.

Does the country I'm in affect my payment?+

You're paid every Friday regardless of which country you're in. What varies is the payment rail available to you: bank transfer, Stripe Connect, Wise, or local mobile money. The country page for your location shows which rails are supported and which typically delivers fastest. The worker fee is 0% everywhere — no country-specific surcharges.

What if I move to a different country mid-engagement?+

Relocation during an active engagement triggers a compliance review. Employment law, tax obligations, and social contributions may change depending on where you move. The platform flags the change and guides both you and the employer through any necessary adjustments — new contract terms, updated tax withholding, different payment rail if needed.

Are some countries better covered than others?+

Yes, practically speaking. Countries where we have our own EOR entity (85+) offer the most streamlined experience. Countries covered through partner entities (90+ more) work the same way from your perspective, but routing through a partner adds a small processing layer. In both cases, you're paid weekly, your verification is portable, and the compliance engine handles local law.
