One check, every role

Get verified once, work anywhere on the platform

Employers see your verified badge and know you're real — before the first conversation. No re-checking identity for every application, every client, every engagement.

How it works

Four steps to a verified badge

1

Upload your ID

Take a photo of your government-issued ID (passport, national ID card, or driver's licence). The system recognises 6,000+ document types from 200+ countries. It reads the document data automatically — you don't need to type it in manually.

2

Complete the liveness check

A short selfie sequence confirms you're present at the camera. The system compares your face to the ID photo using biometric matching. The liveness check includes anti-spoofing measures: it detects printed photos, screen replays, and synthetic faces.

3

Automatic or human review

If the ID and selfie match clearly, you're verified instantly — typically under 2 minutes. If there's any uncertainty (poor photo quality, document edge cases, partial matches), the case routes to a human reviewer. Average human review time: under 4 hours.

4

Your badge is live

Once verified, a badge appears on your profile. Every employer sees it on every application you make. The badge is persistent — it doesn't expire with the application, and you don't re-verify for each new role. One check, every role, permanently.

Verification levels

Two tiers, both free for candidates

Tier 1: Identity check

Government-issued ID and a liveness selfie, matched automatically using biometric comparison. Most people pass instantly; anything uncertain goes to a human reviewer. The system never auto-rejects — every borderline case is reviewed by a person.

  • Required to apply for any role
  • Usually takes under 2 minutes
  • Covers 200+ countries
  • 6,000+ document types recognised
  • Biometric liveness detection (anti-spoofing)

The liveness check confirms you're a real person present at the camera — not a photo of a photo, not a deepfake, not someone holding up a printed ID. This protects both you and the employer from identity fraud.

Tier 2: Enhanced verification

Required for higher-trust roles and EOR employment engagements. Includes additional document checks, a sanctions screen, and a duplicate detection check. Every flagged case gets human review before any decision is made.

  • Required for EOR employment roles
  • Sanctions and PEP screening
  • Duplicate identity detection across the platform
  • Human review on every flag
  • Address verification where required by jurisdiction

Enhanced verification is needed when the platform acts as employer of record — because Corpshore becomes the legal employer, the compliance bar is higher. This isn't a judgment of your trustworthiness; it's a regulatory requirement.

Your data, your control

How we handle your identity data

Verification requires sensitive documents. Here's exactly what happens to them.

Regional data storage

Your identity documents are stored in your home region's database — North America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, or Asia-Pacific. They never leave that region. This isn't a policy promise; it's an infrastructure constraint enforced at the database level.

Employers see the badge, not your documents

When an employer views your application, they see a verified badge and your profile information — not your raw identity documents. Your passport, ID card, or driver's licence is never shared with hiring managers.

No model training

Your identity data is never used to train AI models without your explicit, per-use consent. The verification system uses pre-trained models for document recognition and biometric matching, but your personal data stays out of the training pipeline.

Deletion on request

You can request deletion of your identity documents at any time. This removes the raw documents from the system. Your verification status may revert, and you'd need to re-verify for future applications.

No automatic rejections. Every verification decision that isn't a clear pass goes to a human reviewer. The system never rejects a person on an automated decision alone. If you're asked to re-submit, it's because the reviewer needs a clearer image or a different document type — not because you've been flagged or denied.

Verification questions

What documents are accepted?+

Passports, national ID cards, driver's licences, and residence permits from 200+ countries. The system recognises 6,000+ document types. If your document type isn't recognised automatically, it routes to human review — it's not rejected.

How long does verification take?+

Most verifications complete instantly — under 2 minutes from start to finish. If your case routes to human review (poor photo quality, document edge cases, partial biometric matches), it typically resolves within 4 hours. You'll be notified when verification completes.

What if I fail verification?+

You can't 'fail' in the traditional sense. If the automatic check is uncertain, it goes to a human reviewer. If the reviewer can't verify with the documents provided, you'll be asked to re-submit with better quality or a different document type. The system never auto-rejects. Common issues: poor photo quality, glare on the ID, or an expired document.

Does verification expire?+

No. Once verified, your badge is persistent. You don't re-verify for each new application. If we detect that your underlying document has expired (based on the expiry date captured during verification), we may ask you to update it — but your verified status continues in the meantime.

Can I verify with a document that's not in English?+

Yes. The system handles documents in any language. It reads the document's machine-readable zone (MRZ) where available, and uses OCR for the rest. You don't need to provide translations.

What's the liveness check? Can I skip it?+

The liveness check is a short selfie sequence that confirms you're a real person present at the camera. It can't be skipped — it's a core part of the verification that protects against identity fraud. The check detects printed photos, screen replays, masks, and synthetic faces (deepfakes). It takes about 10 seconds.

I'm concerned about biometric data. What happens to my selfie?+

Your selfie is used solely for the biometric comparison against your ID photo. It's processed, the comparison result is stored (match/no-match), and the raw selfie image is retained only as long as needed for the verification process and any required audit trail. It's stored in your home region and never used for model training.

Does enhanced verification (Tier 2) cost me anything?+

No. Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 verification are free for candidates. The cost is covered by the platform. You'll only go through Tier 2 if you apply for roles that require it (typically EOR employment roles where Corpshore acts as the legal employer).
